A few months back, I bought my first Golden Goose sneakers (you might remember seeing them in a recent post), and got tons of questions from you guys ever since. So many that I thought it was time for a full review! I’ve also had them long enough that I understand how they really perform, and a number of other aspects about them, which you’ll find explored in this post.
So I’m answering a bunch of popular FAQs, as well as where to score deals on them, in the sections below! Where did you score your pair?
I discovered mine on sale via Cettire and purchased them that way!

What’s the going rate?
I snagged a pair for $385.43, though they usually go for around $513.91.
You can expect to pay between $410 and $1,700 depending on their design features.
How does the sizing run?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a EU 36.
Since they don’t stretch and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d choose the larger option.
Is the comfort worth it?
They felt good almost immediately. I wear no-show socks with them, especially since my feet get sweaty. High-end Italian leather construction, so it’s much more easy than breaking in plastic-based shoes. Also, they’re already broken-in so your feet just slide in.
How do they perform over time?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over the city, and I’m impressed with the durability. No glitter has fallen off, and the shape stayed solid. Thanks to the vintage look, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
How do they compare to other sneakers?
Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I’ve tried others like Vejas, but Golden Goose still come out on top. They have a hidden arch lift that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is one of a kind. And the shine on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.
Would you buy again?
Absolutely! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They’re not cheap, so getting them on sale is a better idea. They’re worth the investment, especially if you find a style that suits you. I chose a loud pair, but a minimalist version would also look great.
